Account settings
Section titled “Account settings”Account settings let you manage your profile and how you sign in. You can change your profile photo, see your name and email, manage authentication (password or SSO), and choose which notifications you receive.
Opening account settings
Section titled “Opening account settings”Click your avatar or account in the top menu. The account settings window opens with a list of options. Use the back arrow to return to the list from any sub-screen.
What you can manage
Section titled “What you can manage”Profile image
Section titled “Profile image”Open Profile image to change the photo that appears next to your account in the menu.
- Upload new photo – Choose an image from your device. It is saved automatically; there is no separate “Save” step.
- Clear – Remove your profile photo. The change is saved immediately.
Name and email
Section titled “Name and email”Your name and email are shown on the main account screen. They are read-only here; changes are managed through your organization or identity provider if you use SSO.
Authentication
Section titled “Authentication”Open Authentication to see how you sign in (e.g. password, SSO) and to change your password if your account uses one.
- Set password / Change password – Request a password reset or change your password. You will receive an email with a link to complete the step.
Notifications
Section titled “Notifications”Open Notifications to control which emails you receive (e.g. course announcements, quiz confirmations). Options may vary by organization.
Accessibility mode
Section titled “Accessibility mode”This option is planned for a future release. When available, it will let you adjust the interface for better accessibility.
Functionality test
Section titled “Functionality test”Run a check of your network, device, and browser to make sure everything works correctly with Sylva. This is useful if you run into technical problems (for example with video, uploads, or loading). Click Run test to open the check; the result shows whether your setup is compatible.
Version information
Section titled “Version information”At the bottom of the main account screen you see the SylVA version (for example “SYLVA 5.01.5”) and, when available, the release date. This helps support identify which version you are using. The version line is only shown on the main account screen, not when you are inside Profile image, Authentication, or Notifications.
